Essential Job Functions
The Director, Information Governance (Operations) leads, plans and executes a variety of IG operations including client questionnaires, client engagement document reviews, records retention reviews, client file releases, data chargeback, departing personnel, and legacy data projects. This individual serves as a senior-level Information Governance liaison and, as such, leads projects and initiatives to analyze and design automated systems and processes relating to the lifecycle management of electronic data.
This individual provides functional leadership for personnel and contractors involved in the delivery of Information Governance services in all Kirkland offices. Also responsible for eliminating the use of offsite records storage, developing records retention schedules for the firm’s administrative records, and providing contractual oversight of offsite records storage and secure destruction (shred) service providers.

Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates with an educational background from a wide variety of disciplines including information technology, legal, compliance, information management, and/or records management will be considered. A minimum of 10 years experience leading an Information Governance function or professional services team is required, and an advanced degree in information management, computer science or law is preferred. Aptitude and interest in information technologies, critical thinking, change management and project management is a must. Working knowledge of iManage WorkSite and LegalKEY a plus. Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
