Essential Job Functions

The Dallas office is seeking an Attorney Engagement Coordinator as a member of the Legal Recruiting and Development Department. The Attorney Engagement Coordinator will provide support to the engagement & development efforts of the Dallas office. 

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, event support, budget, attorney integration initiatives, attorney utilization support and general administrative duties. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Provide administrative support for events and development programs (which may require lunch hour and evening overtime)
  • Provide support with lateral attorney integration, including event assistance, coordination of integration efforts, and local lateral onboarding and orientation
  • Coordinate attorney office transfers to Dallas, including welcome announcements, office tours, and integration
  • Assist with attorney utilization reports
  • Track attorney mentoring program updates and assist with mentor assignment process
  • Assist with coordination of local practice group meetings and trainings, including scheduling, calendar invitations, catering, and materials
  • Assist with coordination of Associates’ Committee meetings and related projects and initiatives
  • Support all Dallas diverse affinity group events
  • Support the Women’s Leadership Initiative, which meets monthly, and the corresponding WLI book club
  • Support the Dallas Legal Recruiting Team during the summer program and fall recruiting
  • Update department documents on a quarterly basis
  • Process expenses reports and check requests
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, nametags, managing swag, scanning and copying
  • Managing calendars for Attorney Engagement
  • Maintain attorney engagement-related initiatives on internal website
  • Support local and firm wide diversity events, including liaising with broader Texas Engagement team on diversity efforts and strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in similar setting, law firm or professional services strongly preferred
  • High level of collaboration and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills including excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) abilities
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices to achieve results. 
  • Ability to work overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines

Technologies/Software

Technical experience should include the Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency in Excel required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

This position will need to attend off-site events where some of these venues require attendees to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
