JOB DESCRIPTION

The Trial Setup Specialist II Position is responsible for setting up and the disassembly of temporary trial sites, meeting rooms and events.  This position will require the person to travel at a minimum of 80% of the time. The position will also require the individual to perform remote and local site surveys.  This person is required to be available 24/7 as needed to setup and support trial and events.  This person needs to be able to work independently or as a team.  They must be able to resolve technical and logistical issues quickly without always having resources to assist, and often must be able to “think outside of the box”.  Superior written and oral communication skills are required, as are the abilities to cultivate and build relationships with attorneys, paralegals, staff, and vendors.  The person will have to process vendor invoices in a timely manner. They will be responsible in entering time worked/billed in our time reporting system (Carpe Diem). 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to perform remote site surveys, and provide detailed information including drawings and written information.
  • Work closely with a variety of trial teams to setup remote trial locations, with a variety of hardware and software, including routers, printers, remote login applications, Firm applications, access points, laptop and copiers.
  • Work as the team leader on location, setup and equipment logistics.
  • Provide on-site trial support, serving as point of contact for troubleshooting a variety of Kirkland applications and hardware with vendors and Kirkland staff.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all team members
  • Lift and move bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Advanced knowledge of Remote Computing, including Citrix and remote support.
  • Advanced knowledge of iOS setup and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of networks including wireless setup and functionality.
  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of Voice over IP (VOIP) telephone systems.
  • Documents new findings/solutions and processes.
  • Adheres to use of call ticketing system for every incident or request (e.g. request, issues, etc.) when assisting the local Technology Support Team.
  • Solid ability to research information through internal and external sources.
  • Adheres to written procedures, checklists and all quality control associated with project rollouts.
  • Participates in on-call and overtime on an as needed basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

This position also requires an advanced working knowledge of networking, both wired and wireless.  This person will have experience with enterprise phone systems including working knowledge of setup and support of these systems. Understanding remote access technologies including Citrix and remote print functionality is crucial.  This person will also assist and perform Technology Support duties when not on the road or supporting a trial or event.  These duties may require the individual to be in the office or to provide remote support.  The person must also have strong working knowledge of the advanced functions of the various applications utilized by the Firm’s Essential Job Functions.  The position requires at least 5 years of technical experience.

  • Knowledge of desktop computing environment and troubleshooting techniques of a variety of hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge and the ability to support Microsoft operating system, including networking component, hardware, peripheral devices.
  • Knowledge and experience in a conference center environment and technologies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
