Essential Job Functions
The primary role of the Time & Absence Analyst is to assist managers, timekeepers and employees on a firmwide basis by serving as the subject matter expert for the Firm’s time and attendance system, PeopleSoft.
In addition to providing front-end support to employees and managers, this position requires strong analytical emphasis, and will be responsible for reporting on Time and Absence using PeopleSoft. This includes running reports and creating Excel graphs for management; candidate must be very proficient in the use of MS Excel (formatting, data manipulation). The Analyst will be responsible for reviewing existing audit queries and data quality to ensure that data is consistent, available, accurate, and fit for reporting and analytics, as well as identifying reporting needs and creating logic for new reporting requests. The Analyst will also act as the business lead and will work with the Firm’s technical teams to identify, log, and work system issues to resolution. The position will be responsible for providing expert functional support and guidance in the utilization of global Time and Absence systems. Responsible for providing proactive project management oversight and leading Time and Absence initiatives.
Additional on-going responsibilities include but are not limited to: Front-end support, such as updating timesheets and absence entries on behalf of managers and employees, monitoring and fixing timesheet errors, maintaining setup fields on employee records, reviewing and adjusting absence balances, loading mass time entries in to timesheets, reviewing and fixing data load errors, batch-processing absence entries and updating entitlement balances, annual absence entitlement and carryover processing, working closely with the Payroll team on the processes to load overtime and absences each pay period, participating in periodic system upgrades and enhancement projects, and working closely with and training local office timekeepers. The Analyst is also responsible for creating and keeping up-to-date documentation specific to reporting using PeopleSoft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
1. Assist in Report Generation, Creation, and System testing for Firm (50-60% of daily activities)
2. On-going PeopleSoft Administration (40-50% of daily activities)

Education, Work Experience, Skills
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining confidentiality, multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, flexibility with problem solving and working well under pressure. Technical experience should include the creation and manipulation of information in MS Excel and MS Word. Flexibility to work overtime is a must. HR experience with timekeeping is a plus.
