Essential Job Functions

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a marketing coordinator for the corporate finance practices, you will be responsible for enhancing the Firm’s capital markets and debt finance experience capture and league table rankings, as well as assisting with building effective and tailored marketing materials. Your role is integral to our market-leading positioning as you will be compiling and maintaining data that will be used in industry league table rankings as well as to structure a variety of marketing initiatives, including business pitches, client presentations and web presence. An understanding debt and equity offerings, and syndicated loan transactions is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable in a proprietary internal database environment and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. You will need to think critically, analyze data effectively and convey complex information clearly.

This position reports directly to the Transactional Marketing/Business Development (BD) Director with direct, daily oversight from the Transactional Marketing/BD Specialist and Manager in New York. You will also communicate and collaborate daily with more than 120+ diverse problem-solvers and advisers dedicated to the broader business development, marketing, business intelligence, knowledge management and communications efforts of the Firm. Our international Marketing/BD team provides seamless service to our attorneys with a focus on quality, innovation and responsiveness. In short, we are looking for a self-starter, with good judgement, an eye for detail and an interest in joining a collaborative, dedicated professional services team.

  • Engage in thoughtful, comprehensive research of the Firm’s capital markets and debt finance transactions across a wide breadth of industries, geographies and transaction types using a variety of internal and external resources
  • Support the Firm’s efforts in connection with capital markets and debt finance experience tracking, and league table rankings
  • Interpret, analyze and export data in relation to requests from multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Produce bespoke pitch materials, responses to RFPs and client presentations
  • Maintain content on practice areas, industries and attorneys
  • Contribute and assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of a Firmwide experience database

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct company and market research
  • Provide general Marketing/Business Development support

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This role requires interaction with attorneys and administrative personnel on a regular basis, as well as communicating deal information to various groups within the Marketing/Business Development Department. The successful candidate will possess outstanding proofreading and communication (oral and written) skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • A four-year degree is required.
  • 2+ years of professional experience and a background in corporate finance is preferred.
  • An understanding of complex Private Equity/M&A and financing transactions is a plus.
  • Law firm, corporate finance, research analyst, data vendor and investment banking experience are a plus.

Technologies/Software

  • A solid command of a number of different software applications to produce high-end, professional work product, including extensive experience in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must have experience with various market intelligence and research platforms, including Refinitiv, Debtwire, LFI, Capital Structure, CapIQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, The Deal Pipeline and Pitchbook
  • Experience with InterAction or an equivalent Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus.
