Essential Job Functions


The Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking a Fiduciary Accountant Advisor who will support multiple attorneys and the overall Trusts and Estates practice.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Estate and gift tax return preparation and filing
  • Handles estate administration tasks
  • Asset collection and property transfers
  • Obtain valuations of assets
  • Coordinate funding trusts
  • Advise on income taxation of estates and trusts
  • Coordinate with financial advisors and accountants


  • Any other functions/duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements


Education, Work Experience, Skills

The ideal candidate will possess experience as a fiduciary accountant in Trusts and Estates as well as trust administration.  The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of experience.  Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication skills, strong computer abilities.  Flexibility for travel and overtime is required.


  • Strong technical skills are required, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Juris Doctorate
