Essential Job Functions


The Contract Analyst will provide consistent oversight of the Firm’s vendor contract life cycle management.  This includes assisting Kirkland’s business teams with the contract intake process, the review and negotiation of vendor agreements, and contract execution and closing process.  In addition, this role will support the tracking, analyzing, and reporting of vendor agreement data in the Firm’s contract repository, and assist with proactive management of contractual obligations.       



  • Assist in the drafting and legal review of contracting documents ensuring compliance with Firm policies.
  • Maintain accurate contract database and files; upload and tag key attributes of vendor agreements into the contract repository.
  • Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract review status, upcoming renewal notifications, and interpretation of existing agreements.
  • Serve as contracting liaison with external points of contact and internal staff; respond to internal requests for contract-related information and data.
  • Manage the firm’s vendor agreements through full execution, distribute approved documents both internally and externally, and support the setup of new vendors.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting on contract activity, vendor due diligence, and various criteria, as needed.
  • Periodically update template or form documents (e.g., consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, speaking engagements) to maintain conformity across the Firm.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in addition to two or more years of relevant experience; paralegal certification and law firm or professional services experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.
  • Proven ability to adapt easily to new software and other web-based tools.
  • Individuals in this role are expected to exhibit strong customer service and judgment in communications with attorneys, staff, and vendors of the Firm, including safeguarding the confidentiality of client and Firm information.
  • Attention to detail and the eagerness to learn and progress within a dynamic and growing environment are imperative.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure with a positive attitude and calm demeanor.
