Essential Job Functions

POSITION OVERVIEW

Relevant experience in a large law firm or professional service firm preferred.  Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with attorneys and staff is critical.  Candidates must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work independently and efficiently with excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize/multi-task.   Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Undergraduate degree is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

Administration/Time/Attendance Management

  • Review and manage PeopleSoft and Carpe Diem administrative tasks for CA offices
  • Create and update finance reports relating to billable hours
  • Review and process contract paralegal time
  • Build relationships across the firm with individuals and departments

Review Process/Orientation/Training

  • Provide full support for the Paralegal Review Committee relating to the review process
  • Create Excel, PowerPoint and related documents for Review Committee at the direction of Paralegal Management
  • Manage Paralegal Review system and work closely with HR department regarding tracking evaluations and appropriate follow up
  • Prepare final evaluation/review documents for Paralegal Management approval
  • Manage paralegal new hire coordination including preparing new hire orientation and related documents including scheduling paralegal training

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a large size law firm or professional service firm

 

Technologies/Software

  • Core technologies include Microsoft Office, Adobe, Carpe Diem, PeopleSoft
