Essential Job Functions


The Senior Litigation Paralegal is responsible for, but not limited to, working with complex litigation matters, large scale case management, discovery processes, pretrial and trial activities, appellate and related proceedings.  Responsible for management and supervision of paralegals and litigation teams.  Must be a team player, effective communicator with external and internal clients and well versed in litigation management software and data base platforms. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Anticipate team needs; originate new team projects; become thoroughly vested in the subject matter for each case
  • Serve as principal point of contact regarding logistical and administrative case matters
  • Factual research- execution of cite checking
  • Organize and manage case staffing needs; coordinate efforts of attorneys and staff working on matters to ensure work is performed on time and with efficiency
  • Coordinate document collection, tracking, review and production in conjunction with attorneys, litigation support and clients
  • Assist with preparing for depositions and witness interviews by organizing factual and materials for attorney review
  • Involvement with all logistical arrangements for trial and hearings
  • Foster collaboration, teamwork, clear communication and a solutions-oriented approach
  • Experience with Relativity and working directly with Litigation Support Technology designing and managing databases in Relativity; Designs and manages collaborative systems and extranets
  • Any other functions/duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of experience focusing on complex litigation cases.  Extensive experience with eDiscovery tools and techniques, including creative and adaptable approaches to data collection, reduction and review.  Availability to work overtime and the hours necessary in order to provide outstanding client service.  Travel required.  Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, creativity, initiative and ability to work in a team environment.  Management of large teams required.  Bachelor’s degree required.
