Essential Job Functions
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Finance Project Manager will work collaboratively to lead the implementation of Finance department projects, specifically process improvements and related technology initiatives. This individual will focus on projects to maximize efficiency and achieve seamless service to business owners. Impacted financial systems include, but are not exclusive to, Elite 3E (Billing & Collections, AP, and General ledger), plus various systems utilized for expense reimbursements, purchasing/invoicing, investment partnership management, budgeting & forecasting, tax, and other financial functions.
Ensure delivery of high quality, cost effective solutions to the business.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience supporting accounting and/or finance functions, showing progressive growth in responsibilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar area of study is required. A comprehensive understanding of the law firm or professional services industry is necessary.
Demonstrated experience partnering with key stakeholders on finance process and technology related improvement projects is required. This candidate will have strong accounting, analytical, research, and conceptual thinking skills. The ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision in imperative.
The ability to lead and work effectively on a team and with other functional areas and customers throughout the organization is required. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and be proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented. This individual should possess strong written and oral communication skills in order to clearly and concisely summarize observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
Proficiency with SQL query logic, relational databases, and report writing experience would be desirable, but is not required.
