Essential Job Functions
As a Marketing Coordinator for the Transactional practice, you will be responsible for enhancing the Firm’s experience database with company and industry data that will be used to structure a variety of marketing initiatives including business pitches, client presentations and web presence. You should be comfortable in an internal database as well as working in a team environment, with a keen eye for organization and detail. Understanding the elements of an M&A transaction is an advantage, but more importantly you will need to be able to think critically, analyze data effectively and convey complex information clearly.
This position reports directly to the Transactional Business Development Manager with oversight from the Transactional Business Development Director in Chicago.
You will also communicate and collaborate daily with more than 100 diverse problem-solvers and advisers dedicated to the broader business development, marketing and communications efforts of the Firm. Our international Marketing/BD team provides seamless service to our attorneys with a focus on quality, innovation and responsiveness. In short, we are looking for a self-starter, with good judgement and an interest in a professional services career.

This role requires interaction with attorneys and administrative personnel on a regular basis, as well as communicating deal information to various groups within the Marketing/Business Development Department. The successful candidate will possess outstanding proofreading and communication (oral and written) skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
