Essential Job Functions

  • We are seeking an energetic, organized assistant to join our Marketing/Business Development (BD) team in Chicago. This opening is an entry-level position and will report directly to the Business Development Director and work hand-in-hand with the Business Development Specialist. The candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting with client engagement initiatives.
  • Our ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-level attorneys, staff and guests of the Firm.  You must be able to work independently while making intelligent, informed decisions and have the ability to multitask and prioritize while working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Our international marketing team provides seamless service to our attorneys, with a focus on quality, innovation and responsiveness. In short, we are looking for a self-starter, with good judgement and an interest in a professional services career.


  • Maintain the integrity of the client data in the CRM for various targeted marketing campaigns
  • Manage all deliverables and deadlines associated with sponsorship packages including ads, giveaways, complimentary ticket allocation, speaker bios, calendar invites and exhibit space;
  • Responsibility for sourcing client gift and giveaway inventory;
  • Maintain content for pages on the Firm’s internet, intranet, newsletters, social media and website;
  • Responsible for maintaining Chicago’s contribution to the Firmwide Business Development calendar; and
  • General administrative support including purchasing card expenses, scheduling tasks, printing, filing, document management, etc.
  • Flexible for overtime is a must.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • A four-year degree is required.
  • Law firm or event experience is preferred.


  • You will have meticulous data entry, writing and proofreading skills, and be experienced in PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Experience working in contact relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. InterAction, Salesforce, etc.) is preferred.
