Essential Job Functions

At the direction of the Physical Security Manager, the Physical Security Systems Specialist will be responsible for implementing the design, administration and maintenance of the integrated security systems across all office locations.This includes the Firmwide access control platform, video management system, intrusion system, visitor management, and other related technologies and equipment.This position will learn the operations of each office location, work closely with the local Operations team and Security Governance to identify solutions, and collaborate with various business partners (e.g. IT, Facilities) on systems implementation.The standard hours for the position will be Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however this role requires coordinating with offices in North America, Europe and Asia, and some flexible working hours are required.


  • Administers the Firmwide security systems to include implementing agreed upon design for new system installations/office buildouts, acceptance testing of hardware, programming and maintenance along with oversight of the third-party systems integrators.
  • Establishes a technology roadmap with prioritized project plans focusing on value and risk.
  • Implements security technology strategies and solutions with a focus on scalable growth, automation and optimal business outcomes.
  • Stays current on security trends and technology for safeguarding assets and people.
  • Creates and maintains the life cycle management plan for security equipment and sustains working inventory of system specifications and equipment.
  • Responsible for collaborating with the local Operation teams and systems integrators on maintenance contracts, software updates and licensing agreements.
  • Work with local Operation teams to manage the Firmwide access control platform by performing audits of badge records, clearances to sensitive areas, programming of hardware and alarm events, etc.  Coordinate and verify the necessary access levels for K&E personnel with base building systems at each location.
  • Develops training materials and facilitates training workshops for local Operation teams on current software and emerging technologies.
  • Work with local Operation teams to conduct ongoing functionality testing of security systems and associated hardware to ensure proper coverage and operation.  Identify malfunctions, trouble shoot and work closely with vendors to resolve these and any break/fix issues.
  • Work with IT to identify how security systems are impacted during bi-monthly maintenance windows.  Perform system validations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

The selected candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice Administration, Security, or Business Administration or the minimum of 7 years of equivalent experience in a corporate environment.


Candidate must also possess the following skills:

  • Has a proven track record of outstanding work ethic and positive career growth.
  • Strong understanding of security systems fundamentals and principles.
  • Strong project management skills working cross-functionally and across regions; ability to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams.
  • Ability to evaluate methods to improve security and loss prevention systems on a continuous basis through the use of auditing, review and assessment.
  • Experience engaging vendors through requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times under every circumstance and a quality service attitude.
  • Utilizes exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Handles multiple tasks and manage a fast-paced environment when needed.
  • Is able to interact with staff, vendors, attorneys, and clients on all levels in a positive manner.
  • Must be able to make quick and accurate decisions under stressful situations.
  • Is flexible regarding scheduled hours/days of work.





  • Practical experience operating security systems preferably with Software House access control systems and ExacqVision CCTV software.
  • Possesses basic user MS Office Suite skills with the ability to prepare word documents, spreadsheets and basic presentations.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

  • ASIS International certification preferred - CPP, PSP, etc.
