Essential Job Functions

Essential Job Function:

As a member of the Firmwide (FW) Legal Recruiting & Development Department (LRD), the Legal Recruiting & Development Assistant will provide general administrative support for the Resources team and Firmwide LRD Senior Director including but not limited to, managing calendars, scheduling meetings and travel, processes invoices and file management.

This position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized self-starter capable of functioning in a fast-paced, challenging legal environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all LRD Resources administrative support responsibilities, including but not limited to answering calls, printing, copying and distribution of documents, shipping/mailing, and scheduling.
  • Maintain team shared calendar and inbox
  • Schedule meetings including room reservations, invitations, agenda development, minute preparation and distribution, and conference calls.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flight (domestic and international), lodging, ground transportation and other reservations
  • Process all team invoices and expenses
  • Help maintain and organize the team’s digital storage system and inventory management
  • Perform other ad hoc responsibilities or projects as assigned by manager

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least one year of experience in a similar role; Experience working for a law firm is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to new challenges as they arise
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills


  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with OneNote is a plus.
