Essential Job Functions
The Finance Project Analyst will support a variety of Finance Department process improvement initiatives. This individual will work with both internal and external parties to manage projects and processes within Finance. The Finance Project Analyst will provide analytical and project management support, coordinate activities, and track progress and results of projects and initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
An ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of six years of experience in a law or professional services firm. Experience with a “Big 4” or other National CPA firm and project management experience is preferred.
This individual should have project management experience. Key qualities are proactivity and the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels. Candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills in order to clearly and concisely summarize observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
A collaborative style and a strong customer service orientation are required. The candidate needs to be a critical thinker who possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity, while at the same time is comfortable navigating the details involved with the function and its responsibilities.
Given the variety of projects this individual will be exposed to, the ability to learn new concepts quickly and to develop creative solutions/alternatives to issues/questions is critical. Advanced skills in mining financial information from a variety of financial and business systems, interpreting this data, and converting into analytics are essential.
