Essential Job Functions

The Chicago office is seeking a Graphics Specialist who will provide design and production support to the Firm’s attorneys and staff.  This position is responsible for producing presentations, charts, timelines, brochures, substantive decks, and invitations.

This position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized self-starter capable of functioning in a fast-paced, challenging legal environment.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also required.

Essential functions include those set forth below. Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Create and revise slide presentations, organizational charts, flowcharts, timelines, invitations, and brochures using Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Meet with attorneys and staff to provide consultation regarding graphics projects.
  • Produce online invitations and announcements.
  • Create and edit advanced Excel spreadsheets, using formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of technical experience creating presentations and other graphics. The candidate must also have an aptitude for turning complex information into clear, easy to understand info-graphics and visual elements that meet and promote Kirkland’s brand standards, including the ability to work with graphic and video files. The Graphics Specialist must possess strong graphic design, production, proofreading, and project management skills. Additionally, the Graphics Specialist must have a solid command of Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office Suite including Visio to produce a high-end professional work product.

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of technical experience producing presentations and other graphics work
  •  A strong portfolio which illustrates the ability to deliver designs from concept to completion
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Strict attention to detail
  • The ability to work the core business hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with flexibility for overtime, as required
