Essential Job Functions

The Staff Recruiting Supervisor will have a strong background in full cycle recruiting and will manage the recruiting process end to end while supervising the recruiting team.  In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, the Supervisor will develop recruiting strategies, create new, and maintain established recruitment partnerships to successfully fill positions quickly.  

The Supervisor provides guidance and support to the recruiting team.  He/she is responsible for maintaining metrics and working within established guidelines.  Additionally, the Supervisor will serve as an interview coach to hiring managers, track departmental metrics, and develop staffing reports as needed. The Supervisor will have industry knowledge, keep abreast of recruiting trends, and provide guidance on best practices and recruiting technologies on a FW basis.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage Recruiting team

  • Tracks and analyze recruiting metrics.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to team.
  • Uses metrics to evaluate individual and team performance.
  • Trains and develops recruiting team.
  • Conducts performance reviews.

Assist with all aspects of technical and non-technical recruiting process

  • Manage open job postings.
  • Source resumes for desired core competencies and technical skill sets.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to create or refine job descriptions and identify target candidates.
  • Conduct initial phone screens.
  • Conduct professional reference checks and forward to appropriate parties.
  • Schedule and conduct in-house face-to-face interviews.
  • Extend offer of employment on behalf of the hiring manager.
  • Ensure background verifications have been successfully completed.

Manage vendor relationships

  • Maintain professional relationships with recruiting agencies and professional organizations.
  • Post positions, when necessary, with applicable recruiting agencies and/or professional organizations.
  • Secure contractors as needed for various departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining best practices for ATS and CRM tools on a FW basis.


  • Track and report on staffing metrics


  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years’ staff recruiting and management experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.  Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task are a must. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related experience is also preferred.


  • Applicant tracking systems. PeopleSoft preferred
  • MS Office with an emphasis on advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • LinkedIn Recruiter is preferred
  • Social media recruiting platforms are preferred
  • Boolean search knowledge

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

  • PHR/SPHR or CPR preferred
