Essential Job Functions
Reports to the Associate Director of Support Services. On a day-to-day basis, works primarily under the direction of a senior Venture Capital partner and his team. In addition, works in a team environment with other staff members to most effectively and efficiently meet Firm/client business needs.
The Administrative Assistant position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized individual with technical proficiency in Microsoft Office with the overall purpose of providing the highest quality client service to both internal and external clients. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide service-oriented support for a corporate legal team, including back-up secretarial support. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant will include these and other essential functions:
Qualifications & Requirements
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while demonstrating a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Administrative Assistant must have well developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all organizational levels of the firm and manage expectations; ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment with a customer service focus; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion; ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines; ability to create accurate work product with impeccable attention to detail; knowledge and understanding of typical work processes performed daily in an office environment; with appropriate training, effectively navigate Chrome River, Outlook, Avaya Phone, Carpe Diem, Interwoven, and other technology as assigned.
The ability to work the core business hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with flexibility for overtime as required. Must have a minimum 5+ years legal word processing experience, preferably in a large law firm. A typing speed of 55+ wpm is also required. Associate degree preferred.
