Essential Job Functions
The New York office is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Business Development Assistant to provide administrative support to the Director of Business Development in New York and work effectively as part of the firmwide business development team. The candidate will communicate and collaborate daily with the more than 100 diverse problem-solvers and advisers dedicated to the broader business development, marketing and communications efforts of the Firm. Our international marketing team provides seamless service to our attorneys, with a focus on quality, innovation and responsiveness. In short, we are looking for a self-starter, with good judgement, excellent communication skills and an interest in a professional services career.

Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, writing and time management skills with the ability to interact professionally with high level attorneys, staff and guests of the Firm. The qualified candidate must be able to work independently while making intelligent, informed decisions. The successful candidate must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.
The candidate will have meticulous data entry, writing and proof reading skills. He/she will be proficient in PowerPoint and Excel and have experience working in contact relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. InterAction, Salesforce, etc). The candidate must be able to learn and use a number of different market intelligence platforms, perform online research, have experience PowerPoint presentation alternatives (e.g. PowToon, Prezi, etc) and possess a general facility for learning new software.
The model candidate is a quick study, who likes to flex his/her creative muscle and think outside of the box. He/she will serve as the Director’s right hand. A self-starter who will work with the Director on bespoke practice development projects that move the needle.
A four-year degree is required. Law firm, corporate finance or investment banking experience is preferred. Experience with Photoshop and other design software is a bonus. Flexible for overtime is a must.
