Essential Job Functions

  • Primary person to run the day-to-day IT operations for the office, Technology Support team, including mentoring, training, establishing priorities, assist in hiring, manpower utilization, and disciplinary actions as needed. 
  • Candidate will have advanced knowledge of supporting, troubleshooting, and ability to resolve issues with applications and hardware. Candidate will make sure services are being delivered while being mindful of budget constraints. 
  • The candidate will write and deliver performance evaluations; provide feedback to assist in determining salary adjustments once applicable. The candidate will also manage conflicts and resolve disagreements within the team timely and constructively.
  • Review call ticket reports on a monthly basis to assess the team’s performance.  Work with management and training analyzing support ticket trends.
  • Process invoices and technology equipment orders.
  • Primary contact and coordinator for the local office’s tasks related to the Firm Wide Maintenance Window.
  • Expertise in working issues through to best resolution either through own knowledge or proper, timely escalation.
  • Participates local and Firm-wide projects as the Technology Support technical representative for the office.
  • Work with other managers and supervisors to assure consistent support is being adhered to for their specific office.
  • Responsible for maintaining technology equipment inventory for the office.
  • Resource and go-to person for attorneys and staff regarding legal applications software, how it is used and supported.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Technology teams in other Kirkland offices
  • Commitment to work nights and weekends, as needed; available to travel.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements 

  • A college degree, preferable in Computer Sciences, is preferred.
  • Business certifications and equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • The qualified candidate will have 5 years of experience supervising an IT support team or a desk side team in a mid-to large size law firm or other services organization. 

Technologies/Software

  • Required expertise in legal use of applications including but not limited to:  Microsoft Suite including; Office/Word, Excel, PowerPoint; iManage or other DMS application; Messaging; Adobe Acrobat; Visio; Carpe Diem time and billing.
  • Knowledge of Citrix including saving and printing documents, iPhone support, as well as any other legal administrative software is a strong plus.
