Essential Job Functions

The Digital Services Specialist serves as the digital image and print expert within the office and is responsible for providing staff with a wide variety of digital document processing services. Under minimal supervision, the Specialist performs complex tasks involving the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Applications, LAW PreDiscovery, custom software, along with the use of printing equipment, document scanners and media duplicators.  The Specialist will have experience in a production copy/print environment as well as a strong knowledge of scanning and imaging practices.  In addition to strong computer skills, customer service and communication skills are required. 

Day to day tasks include preparing large files sets for printing, batch file processing and renaming, PDF bookmarking/hyperlinking, media creation/duplication, and file downloading from online repositories as well as production print/copy/scan as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

The Specialist must be able to demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Associates degree or post-High school technical training preferred; High school diploma required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a production document processing environment
  • Previous law firm copying/scanning/printing experience or knowledge of legal document processing needs recommended
  • Minimum of one (1) year direct customer service experience
  • Computer literacy including technical familiarity with printing, imaging, network systems, Microsoft operating systems and applications, LAW PreDiscovery, and the Adobe suite of products
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new software and tools
  • Ability to operate large production equipment
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in written format with customers and Firm staff
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds and spend long periods of time standing.
  • Ability to work overtime as required by workload, staffing and customer need
