Essential Job Functions
Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking an Investment Funds Paralegal I, located in California, who will support multiple Corporate Partners and the overall practice on a variety of transactions. The essential job functions include the following:
Private Funds Tracking and Reporting
Electronic Closing Files
Closing Files and Subscription Booklets
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess experience in one or more areas including M&A, private equity, debt finance, asset-backed securitization, fund formation, investment management and/or venture capital. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, strong computer abilities, creativity, and initiative. Travel and overtime may be required. A minimum of 2 years of Invest Funds experience required.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required, meet CA AB 1761 requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong coordination and teamwork skills;
Planning and organization skills, including the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
A proactive approach and the ability to work "hands-on" as required;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Proficiency in the use of law office software, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
