What You’ll Do

Are you a detail-driven library professional with a knack for digital systems and a passion for supporting research excellence?

As an Electronic Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing access to the Firm’s digital research tools. This position is part of our Research Services team and supports attorneys and staff by maintaining our electronic resource infrastructure, ensuring seamless access, and facilitating effective onboarding and training materials.

  • Resource Access Management: Oversee account provisioning, deactivation, and troubleshooting for Firm-wide electronic research tools.
  • Vendor & User Communication: Provide timely updates on product changes and access adjustments to relevant user groups.
  • System Support & Maintenance: Manage and support the Firm’s electronic resource management system (Research Monitor), including vendor coordination, issue resolution, and usage reporting.
  • Intranet Content Oversight: Maintain the Research Services intranet by cataloging new resources and updating practice-specific content.
  • Onboarding & Training Support: Develop, maintain, and communicate library onboarding and training procedures.
  • Additional Contributions: Assist with related duties that support the broader goals of the Research Services team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Master’s in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in research or technical services within a law firm or corporate library preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic resource tools, especially Research Monitor, and strong data analysis/reporting skills.
  • Collaborative Agility: Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work effectively across teams and levels.
  • Professionalism & Accuracy: Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Initiative & Judgment: A proactive, self-starting mindset with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in New York City. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and retirement. Compensation Range:

  • New York City: $98,000 - $104,000
