The Facilities Department is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and functionality of our company’s physical environment. We manage a wide range of services, including building maintenance, space planning, vendor coordination, security, and sustainability initiatives. Our goal is to create a well-organized, secure, and comfortable workspace that supports productivity and aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Own the daily upkeep and maintenance of the office space, including practice floors, conference rooms, offices, restrooms, and pantries.  
  • Spearhead office moves—whether it’s furniture, boxes, or organizing and packing/unpacking items.  
  • Show off your carpentry and repair skills with tasks like hanging artwork, assembling furniture, installing keyboard trays, and performing other small office repairs.  
  • Be the go-to for miscellaneous various tasks like answering work requests (via phone or email), managing supplies in the department’s inventory, and tackling ad-hoc projects.  
  • Serve as support to Delivery & Digital Services teams, including, but not limited to, sorting and delivering mail, monitoring and processing supply requests, creating and disabling ID badges, and any other requests as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).  
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a facilities-related role—show us what you’ve got!  
  • Skilled in repairing small office equipment—because the little things matter too.  
  • Bonus points for experience in mechanical work, carpentry, and office moves.  
  • Familiarity with EMS and ServiceNow software? That's a plus!  
  • Solid computer skills, especially in MS Office.  
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities, adapt on the fly, and remain calm under pressure.  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills—no matter the task, you're able to work well with anyone and everyone.  
  • A sharp eye for detail, professionalism, and top-notch service.  
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and execute efficiently.  
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in New York City. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and retirement. We also offer personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.

Compensation Range:

  • New York City: $55,750 - $69,000
