Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to security applications.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
  • Ability to work weekends, and after hours.  Participate and manage an on-call schedule/rotation.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure integration and compatibility between security applications and IT infrastructure. 
  • Generate regular security reports for management, highlighting key security metrics and potential risks. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies.
  • Effective at working with multiple teams on multiple projects simultaneously while provide “white glove” customer service.
  • Ensure all service requests and incidents are updated, managed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Follow and abide by Kirkland change management best practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Agile/Scrum/Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Works closely with Security Teams and Product Owners to identify and clearly communicate requirements for application implementations, along with backlog refinement.
  • Ability to manage, train, mentor and guide team members.
  • Adheres to Firm IT processes, procedures and policies. 
  • Escalated issues to management as necessary to ensure proper communication and escalation.
  • Has a “whatever it takes” approach to support the goals of the team, and practices of the Firm and is a team player.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • 10+ years’ experience with Cybersecurity applications and support
  • 5+ years’ experience in Management/Leadership supervising multiple team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to think creatively to accomplish tasks in an efficient manner.

Preferred

  • Legal knowledge and understanding.
  • Software Architecture knowledge and understanding.
  • Network Administration knowledge.
  • Relevant certifications such is CISSP, CISA or Security+

  • IAM Software such as Delinea, CyberArc, Hitachi HiPam
  • Password Management Software, such as LastPass, OnePassword or Island
  • WAF (Wireless Application Firewalls) such as Akamai

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:

  • Chicago: $140,000 - $160,000
