Kirkland & Ellis LLP is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Conflicts Analyst I to join our dynamic Business Intake & Conflicts Department. This is an evergreen role, reflecting our ongoing need for talented individuals who can help ensure compliance and manage ethical risk at the highest levels. About the Role

In this role, you will be an essential partner to attorneys and colleagues worldwide, supporting Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s commitment to ethical business practices and risk management. Working as part of the Business Intake & Conflicts Department, you will help identify and resolve ethical and business-related conflicts of interest, conducting research and analysis for new business prospects and employee hires to uphold firm policies and manage risk. Through your careful analysis, you will provide critical insights into high-impact relationships that drive Kirkland & Ellis’s ongoing global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Research & Analysis: Conduct detailed conflicts searches and corporate research for new business and employee hire requests, ensuring all activities align with firm policies and meet high standards of risk management.
  • Collaboration with Attorneys: Work closely with attorneys and team members to identify, assess, and resolve conflicts of interest, delivering thorough written analyses that support informed decision-making.
  • Efficient Processing: Ensure prompt and accurate processing of all conflicts searches, and address any time-sensitive issues arising from new business and employee onboarding.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a main contact point within the Business Intake & Conflicts Department, providing timely information and accurate guidance to attorneys, department colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Actively contribute to improvements in processes, procedures, and technologies within the department, with a focus on reducing risk and enhancing operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll need to demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability to changing priorities. This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy working in a customer-service-oriented capacity with a high level of discretion and professionalism. You must also live within a reasonable commuting distance of your home office. As a member of our team, it is expected that you will be in the office 3/days a week.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in risk management, research, conflicts searching, or a similar field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and consistency in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in each location below. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and retirement. Compensation

► Los Angeles: $69,000 -$98,000

► Bay Area: $69,000 -$100,000
