Essential Job Functions

Develops and implements solutions to integrate applications across the enterprise.  Evaluates business needs and requirements to devise integration specifications and ensure final solutions meets business/organizational needs.  Works within definition of department SDLC framework to design, build, test, deploy and provide operation support for integration solutions.  Consults with and provides direction to vendor teams also involved in portions of the SDLC framework.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Responsible for delivery of technical project work regarding the application integration and API solutions. Ensures a proper design, delivery and operations of enterprise integration while satisfying quality, security and other solutions standards.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to meet enterprise integration needs; contributes to the definition of and ongoing deployment of enterprise integration protocols/process/procedure/SDLC practices; includes working with project teams for effort intake, estimation, design/coding/deployment and operations.
  • Provides expertise/experience for planning and ongoing coordination for needed dev/test environments, as well as defining and managing source code repo, branching configuration, CI/CD and DevOps practices supporting ongoing concurrent releases and maintaining technology toolset stack.
  • Works with Data and Enterprise architecture team to define the application integration design/coding/deployment/operational standards and technology stack; contributes to long term strategy and planning.
  • Works with operations team to oversee stability/performance of integration platform operations, with regard to scheduling, successful execution, and issue resolution of the application integration components in production.   
  • Works collaboratively with other dev teams to guide and review their deliverables against the set standards; promotes reuse and efficiency of enterprise integration platform.
  • Works collaboratively with IT platform, infrastructure and vendor teams to ensure efficiency and promote reuse of integration platform assets and while ensuring policy compliance and operations. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in data, computer science or relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in application/API development and integration; Microsoft preferred.
  • 5+ years of working experience with MuleSoft API integration/management platform required; certification required.
  • 3+ years of working experience on Azure application and data platforms highly preferred.
  • Experience working in agile delivery, Jira usage and other agile delivery best practices.
  • Data architecture, Data Modeling, and data warehousing experience is a plus
  • Demonstratable ability to interact with business and vendor teams to create integration specification documents, integration architecture/design artifacts.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

  • Certifications in Azure cloud stack, Microsoft development stack, MuleSoft highly valued.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Washington D.C. and New York City. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation:

Washington D.C.: $130,000 -$162,000

New York City: $130,000 -$170,000
