Essential Job Functions

The Texas offices are seeking a Legal Education & Development Specialist to provide strategic and administrative support to our Texas offices. As part of the Firmwide Legal Recruiting and Development Department (LRD), the Legal Education & Development (LED) Specialist will be responsible for support of attorney training initiatives, reporting and auditing CLE, and other administrative support.  This position is hybrid.  The individual is expected to follow the Firm’s hybrid work model, which requires in-person presence Tuesday-Thursday (with the exception of pre-approved arrangements).
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 

  • Maintain TX licensed attorney Continuing Legal Education (CLE) records and track attorney compliance using CE Manager (Micron) and our Learning Management System (LMS) processes
  • Work with the Firmwide CLE portfolio team to align and execute on CLE process and related audit reporting
  • Assist the Austin office and FW LED function with learning and event planning logistics for attorney learning programs, such as Kirkland University, local learning, and summer associate and new associate programming, where needed
  • Assist with the coordination of team and practice group meetings where needed, supported by use of LMS systems and standard scheduling practices
  • Communicate and collaborate with other offices on program schedule, handouts, logistical and technical meeting support
  • Inform department managers of necessary information and feedback related to programming
  • Support LRD in unique initiatives and with regard to additional support when assistance is required
  • Attend LRD staff meetings and provide updates
  • Assist with other administrative duties as guided by supervisor and LRD leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong data entry, communication, proofing and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, highly collaborative, highly organized, self-motivated
  • The ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, anticipate needs, and exude a professional demeanor
  • Projects may require occasional overtime
  • Technical experience should include proficiency in Microsoft Office
