Essential Job Functions

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for the role of Client Commitments & Privacy Operations Coordinator on the Risk Management Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to assist the Firm with its compliance obligations in a dynamic, cross-functional department while contributing to the success of the Firm. The Coordinator works closely with other Risk Management Compliance team members to handle the intake, processing, and delivery of responses to client inquiries about firm operations. In addition, the Coordinator will support the Firm’s Privacy Program in administrative tasks. The role is critical to the Firm’s ability to successfully meet its diverse and ongoing obligations to its clients. This position requires someone who is intellectually curious and independent and who has a collaborative mindset, an acute attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, and who understands the meaning of exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Monitoring and upkeep of the Client Commitments & Privacy Operations inboxes.
  • Assist with long-term and ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide necessary documents in response to internal documentation requests.
  • Assist with periodic audits, entitlement reviews and compliance checks.
  • Assist with communicating Firm policies and procedures relating to client questionnaires and make recommendations for changes when appropriate.
  • Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements in order to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
  • Be available for overtime during evening hours and weekends.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in risk, research, reference library work, conflicts searching, or related experience is preferred.
  • A desire to work in a flexible environment with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is a must.
  • The ideal candidate must interact well with people at all levels with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Compensation: 

 The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.

  • New York City - $84,000 - $112,000
  • Bay Area - $ 84,000 -$118,500
