Essential Job Functions

The Senior Revenue Management Analyst, M&A will work with Finance and Senior Partners to manage all aspects of Revenue operations related to the M&A Practice.  Specifically, this role is responsible for the consolidated reporting of the practice with a focus towards driving actionable insights to improve performance.   This role is a combination of finance and operations, with the successful candidate taking ownership for working with teams to drive improvements.  The ideal candidate will be a problem solver and a story teller; someone who is able to manipulate, synthesize, and understand data before drawing conclusions and concisely presenting findings to leadership. 

This is a new position within the Revenue function.  The candidate does not need prior M&A experience; however, he/she must be eager to learn.

Essential Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Create Insightful Analyses
    • Develop recurring monthly reporting highlighting practice performance, including risks, opportunities, and themes in the business
    • Produce monthly risk assessments on the portfolio using metrics such as Months of Unrealized Assets (DSO), unbilled time and accounts receivable aging, and current time worked trends
    • Provide necessary reporting and updates to keep Partner billing on-track.  Review accounts receivables and unbilled time reporting to ensure timely billing and collection
    • Communicate findings from reporting and analysis to Partners in a confident, articulate, and professional manner.
    • Provide ad hoc reports as needed
  • Streamline Administration Related to Billing and Collection
    • Act as primary point-of-contact for Leadership and Revenue Team for all Revenue related questions related to M&A
    • Based on the results of reporting, work with Revenue team to address issues and improve outcomes
    • Assist M&A Partners and Revenue Team on broader initiatives
  • Create Best Practices
    • Develop relationships across M&A Group, getting to know attorneys, staff, processes, and matters.
    • Identify opportunities to implement technology, as appropriate.
    • Develop processes to quickly highlight and address issues. 
    • Work with Billing Team leadership to improve overall process.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The Senior Revenue Analyst will have a Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.  Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Established collaboration skills and the ability to communicate with openness and transparency both.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at various levels within the Firm
  • Excellent project management skills.  Ability to manage reporting and analysis for multiple partners and clients
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Desire to provide the highest level of service
  • Team focused

Technologies/Software

  • MS Office with emphasis on Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint presentation experience; knowledge of SQL a plus
  • General accounting software and database software, with an existing understanding of relational database concepts; knowledge of PowerBI a plus
