Essential Job Functions

The Chicago Office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking an Attorney Engagement Assistant to provide general administrative support for our Attorney Engagement team.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, event support, expense reports, attorney integration initiatives, and other general administrative duties. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Miscellaneous administrative duties such as creating nametags, updating department documents,  scanning and copying
  • Manage calendars, invitations and RSVPs for Attorney Engagement
  • Coordinate with conference services on room reservations, technology requirements, meals, meeting materials, etc.
  • Provide support for events and engagement programs (which may require lunch hour and evening overtime)
  • Document and maintain attorney engagement-related initiatives in Microsoft OneNote and internal document management system
  • Track attorney mentoring program updates and assist with mentor assignment process
  • Process expenses reports and check requests
  • Support all Chicago Professional Network group events as needed
  • Support the Women’s Leadership Initiative as needed
  • Support the Attorney Recruiting Team during the summer program and recruiting season as needed
  • Any other functions/duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

This position requires both the ability to collaborate and work independently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices, and a professional demeanor.  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel. OneNote and Power Point required.   

A Bachelor’s degree is required.  Law firm experience is a plus.
