Essential Job Functions

This role will serve as the leader responsible for the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of enterprise-wide mobile applications. The goal of this role is to implement, enhance, and maintain each enterprise-wide mobile application, its business capabilities, and the necessary operations such that Kirkland & Ellis attorneys and staff can leverage the associated benefits.

Essential Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Accountable for the development, delivery, enhancement, support, operational performance, stability and scalability of each enterprise-wide mobile application.
  • Accountable for the growth and adoption of each enterprise-wide mobile application.
  • Work with the business, Enterprise Architecture and others to develop a roadmap and work queues for each enterprise-wide mobile application.
  • Develop and/or lead change management efforts across all phases of projects and initiatives to drive the Firm’s culture of continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for understanding the capabilities of the underlying platform(s) and technologies for the enterprise-wide mobile applications; and for sharing information, as needed, with the Technology team and stakeholders so that they can make educated decisions related to the roadmap, programs, and projects.
  • Travel may be needed from time to time to meet with key stakeholders or to enhance understanding of the underlying platform(s) and technologies for enterprise wide applications or related supplier solutions/services.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • Seven (7) years of experience in leading application development, including two (2) years or more experience in leading enterprise-wide mobile application development and support, especially including the usage of third-party managed service providers. Experience with mobile applications used with facilities/offices preferred.
  • Seven (7) years or more of experience in testing IT applications, including two (2) years of experience in testing enterprise-wide mobile applications.
  • 3 years of experience in implementing and operating with managed services.
  • Experience in negotiating agreements, SOWs, SLAs, and developing SOPs.
  • 7 years of experience in IT/technology.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMI, Prince) or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Proven change management skills. 
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
