Essential Job Functions

The Director of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) is responsible for the financial and personnel management functions within the Firmwide IT organization.  The IT organization is currently executing a modernization and digital transformation journey.  Most functions within the scope of this position and the OCIO are manual processes.  This position will lead the effort to automate these functions, including budget preparation and reporting and will actively participate in the selection and implementation of a new purchase requisition system.  This position is also responsible for the development of staff engagement functions such as Career Path Framework, Welcome to IT, Skills Matrix and Training Plans.

Essential Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Lead the IT Firmwide budgeting process, including the annual process (September - January) and the forecast (August).  There are three main components of this process:  projects, operating and headcount.  Each component happens concurrently.
  • Subject matter expert on all budget related matters across the IT organization.
  • Financial reporting, including monthly update of actuals to budget, budget variances, project spend and other requests as required.
  • Training and training documentation for all budget owners.
  • Lead the IT Firmwide Procurement process.
  • Oversee the purchase order requisition process for IT Firmwide inclusive of requisition creation.
  • Ensure purchases requested align with valid contracts and planned budget.
  • Review and approval of all US IT purchase order requisitions for coding accuracy.
  • Training and training documentation for all IT purchasing requestors.
  • Firmwide IT personnel management, including headcount management and organizational alignments.
  • Tracking and managing IT headcount requests from initiation to fulfillment.
  • Develop and Coordinate IT onboarding of all IT employees through Welcome to IT, Seamless Service and Buddy Program.
  • Managing and maintaining the IT Career Path and Skills Matrix.
  • Liaise with Finance and Human resources on IT financial and personnel management.
  • Process development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with experience in business and financial management.
  • Prior experience in process development, documentation and implementing change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, consensus building and active listening.
  • Prior experience in managing multimillion-dollar budgets.

Technologies/Software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
