Essential Job Functions

The Senior Coordinator role requires a results-driven professional who is highly organized, with keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability. This individual is expected to complete a variety of project assignments, including live and virtual event coordination, with limited direction and in accordance with Firm policies and standards. This individual will draft communications and presentations, prepare reports, manage vendors, assist with leading meetings and tracking action items, and provide administrative support to the Director of Wellbeing. Creative problem-solving, excellent judgment, and resourcefulness will be required for success in this role. Candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization. This is a hybrid in-office/remote role, and in-person support of events in the Chicago area is required.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the successful planning and execution of projects and events.
  • Collaborates with team on various projects and events, including those under the umbrella of the Kirkland Wellbeing program.
  • Assists with leading meetings, providing timely recap and manages the action items outside of meetings.
  • Escalates known issues/risks to project or event success to manager as appropriate when at an impasse.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and presents high quality deliverables on relevant HR data.
  • Builds relationships across HR and the Firm to support delivery of high-quality programs and superior service.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years with a background in human resources, project management, or business analysis required. Event management experience a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a mid to large size law firm, professional service firm, or a corporate or financial services organization is highly desirable. 

Technologies/Software

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Document Management System (DMS)
  • Proficiency with Visio diagrams a plus

Work Environment 

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, as well as iPhone and Citrix for remote access.
