Essential Job Functions

The Investment Analyst I is a member of the Investment Partnerships Group, which is responsible for the analysis, administration, and recordkeeping of the investment program on behalf of the Firm’s partners. The Investment Analyst I will work collaboratively with other analysts, managers, and partners of the Firm, with a focus on the support of the analysis of investment opportunities and preparation of written investment memorandums to present to the Investment Committee and eligible investors.

Essential Functions: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Support the analysis and presentation investment opportunities to the Investment Committee with a special attention to strategy, track record, team, and terms.
  • Review offering materials (e.g., private placement memorandums, limited partnership agreements) on investment opportunities and summarize/prepare investment memos for distribution to internal partners, responding to general inquiries, collecting commitments, and coordinating the complex database set up for each investment.
  • Document Investment Committee decisions related to making investments, the size of investments, action with respect to amendments, and sales of investments.
  • Support the analysis and presentation of early liquidity offers, and sale contracts to the Investment Committee.
  • Analyze commitment spending for presentation to the Investment Committee.
  • Ad-hoc research and analysis.
  • Validate data, test reports/features with database implementations, customizations, and upgrades.
  • Periodic report development and database enhancement coordination to the Investment Group’s database.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have relevant internship experience in investment analysis in a financial services, private equity, or consulting firm. Other relevant backgrounds will be considered. 
  • The candidate must be self-starting, proactive, self-confident, organized, and a team player who can also work independently and sometimes assertively. The candidate must have a strong customer service orientation, good people skills, and a commitment to excellence.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related fields (or comparable experience) is required.
  • Candidate must have superior professional written, analytical, organizational, and research skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and Word is essential with some experience with general accounting software and database software is a plus.


  • MS Office with emphasis on Excel skills

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
