Essential Job Functions
Kirkland & Ellis LLP is recruiting for a seasoned and sophisticated Business Development Manager who will develop and work collaboratively with the Director of Business Development for the West Coast on all business development initiatives for the Los Angeles office. This professional will manage Los Angeles-based business development initiatives and be a strategic adviser to the attorneys. They will provide innovative business development initiatives to maintain the Los Angeles market share and also develop projects designed to increase revenue by expanding the Firms’ client base within the region. This regionally focused role will support some of the Firm’s most significant Practice Groups, including its highly regarded Corporate (Private Equity, Fund Formation, Real Estate, Debt Finance) Intellectual Property and Litigation Practice Groups.
Firmwide Business Development Team:
In this new position, the Los Angeles Business Development Manager will be a key member of a growing West Coast Business Development team, as well as being a leader and peer in the greater Business Development Firmwide team. The Manager will work closely with the Los Angeles Business Development team and the Northern California Business Development team to strategize and execute on all initiatives. The Manager will also collaborate closely (through knowledge sharing, decision making, and coordination) with the Firmwide Business Development team, specifically, Practice Group-aligned Business Development professionals in each of the Corporate, Intellectual Property and Litigation Practices across the US.
